We completed our summer 2024 lavender harvest and are pleased to offer you our Dried Lavender Flower Buds (Lavandula angustifolia) right from the farm! Our culinary lavender is lovingly grown and harvested on our farm without the use of chemicals or pesticides, and then carefully hand-sifted. "Royal Velvet" is a true showstopper! The deep, vibrant purple flowers are darker than those of most other lavenders and tend to keep their intense color even when dried. Like all lavenders, Royal Velvet is an excellent bed and border plant that also deserves space in a kitchen herb garden or cutting garden. The fresh or dried leaves and flowers are used in sachets, perfume and floral waters as well as in soaps and cosmetics. In cooking, Royal Velvet lavender flowers are flavorful additions to cakes, cookies, tea and coffee blends, and much more.

Your glass jar will include approximately 1 ounce of beautifully fragrant Royal Velvet lavender buds that you can use for your favorite foods, beverages or crafts. To best preserve their color and fragrance, we recommended keeping your lavender buds out of direct sunlight.

Royal Velvet Buds

I loved these lavender buds! I use them when I'm looking for a delicate, sweeter lavender fragrance, especially for culinary applications. I've made tea, lavender sugar, cookies, and lavender simple syrup, among other things. I find the flavor superior to other culinary lavenders, which tend toward a stronger "camphorous" undertone and/or bitterness. I'm very happy with my Royal Velvet lavender!

Natasha, thank you so much for your lovely review of our Royal Velvet culinary lavender buds. Royal Velvet is such a wonderful lavender for culinary use, and we love that you are being adventurous with it! Please feel free to share any of your awesome recipes! :) Thank you again!
