Each Spruce + Cinnamon Fire Starter starts with a 100% soy wax base scented with organic Black Spruce essential oil- we then add a spruce tip, cinnamon stick, cloves, dried rosemary, crinkle paper and 2 wicks, all of which will burn and help ignite and add additional scent to your fire. DIRECTIONS:
Place your fire starter underneath your wood, carefully light the wick and enjoy! We recommend you add additional kindling to surround your fire starter (our packaging would be perfect!). These may take a moment to start your fire, as the fuel is all natural, so sit back, relax, and enjoy watching the fire starter ignite. The fire starters are safe for indoor wood burning fireplaces and the soy wax completely burns up, so there is no residue or remaining wax (as long as the fire can burn in full before being put out).
Spruce + Cinnamon Fire Starters contain items made by Mother Nature (spruce tips) and these items will die out after time. We craft these in small batches to keep them as "green" as possible, but the spruce tips may turn brown as the product sits and is not used. However, they will burn just as well once they are used. Fire starters sometimes contain sharper/prickly items from nature, so please handle with care when opening the package and placing in your fireplace or fire pit. Please note that our Fire Starters are made without synthetics, and may be slower to burn than a typical store-bought Fire Starter. If you would like to speed up the process, extra kindling will help.
CAUTION:
Although fire starters look similar to candles, they are not candles and are intended ONLY for use in wood-burning fireplaces, fire pits, and and outdoor camp fires, as they contain flammable items such as cinnamon sticks and dried leaves. DO NOT use in a gas burning fireplace, gas stove or wood stove. Store fire starters in a cool area and do not store directly in bright light or leave in your vehicle. Please keep out of reach of children and pets.
